1st Annual SAMCSociety.com Meetup and BBQ - June 12, 2010

Well, since I got this new full sized barrel smoker/grill that will cook for at least a dozen or more and we have all wanted to meet up, after this coming weekend edera and I want to host a meetup for us all. So I am giving say, two weeks advance notice so everyone can have some input on what night of the week or weekend would hopefully work out best for everyone. Also a good time for it. Currently thinkin a saturday, start up around 2'ish.

As hosts we are providing:

BBQ'd burgers

Beverages: Bottled water, Pepsi, Coke, Sprite, Ginger Ale, Bud Light, my preferred stock of Newcastle Brown Ale, wine or mixed drinks. (NOTE: If you choose alcohol and appear to get a little too much, I WILL take your keys and put you in our guest room. About the only hard fast rule I apply around here )
Again, if someone prefers something else, let me know, it's no bother to pick up additionals.

For your viewing pleasure I will be offering "Ride like a Pro" dvd's. I have two, one for beginners, though even seasoned riders can learn from it, plus the ride like a pro police training video if enough are interested, on the 61 inch flat screen. Barring that we have an extensive library of movies or else if enough gamers are in our crowd, we can always do GTA 4 and see who can pull off the sickest bike stunts on there or something...lol. Or find something else, as I have all 3 game systems.

Also don't know how many smokers we have, but I also offer to get out some of my private stash of Havana Cigars after dinner in the "Man Cave" as well.

What you need to bring:
Your butt.
Covered dish or side item would be nice, PM edera what that would be so we can coordinate a nice selection.

And knowing it's not easy to carry stuff like that on bikes, I can arrange to get ya to the local store in a 4 wheel vehicle after you arrive.

Only thing I do ask is that we live in a quiet secluded cul de sac subdivision, please respect the posted limit of 25 entering or leaving and keep the pipes on the down low.

So....let's hear some suggested days, dates and times. Or any other suggestions you wish to offer.

I'm down whenever, me and the ol' lady can make when ever. always up for food and felowship. I volunteer cookies haha they fit in the pack sound off with any allergies I'll be sure to accomadate. I'll help represent the speed demons out there

Just so eveyone knows. I'll also be making a Hot Potato dish that my friends up north dub "heart attack by the fork full" It's really good.

A note to anyone who wants to bring something, if you have Saddle bags, you can transport stuff in Zip Lock Bag, I have all kinds of serving dishes. If you want to heat something up when you get here, we can do that too. Just let me know. I've been taking things to picnics on bikes for quite awhile now. Zip lock bags are the best thing.

Sounds great. I work every day sept sun. Just give a day and time and I will make time to be there. A sat sounds good to me.

WOW that sounds fabulous! I work everyother weekend but will try to make it if I'm off.

I'm off this weekend then again on the weekend of the 12 and the 26. You guys dont have to plan around me..but then the ladies might need back up! I make some mean homemade bread....

Can do that, no problem. Is why I put it out there to try and get as many coordinated as possible and at their convenience. How is everyone for June 12th, then? Say, 2'ish? (and later for anyone who has ta work ) Luvzz me some homemade bread, too.

lol Just kidding with ya. I almost bought a softtail deluxe. (Could'nt justify the cost for what I was looking for at that time)

dont burn it, thats too quick of a death, just a quick going over with a gray scotch brite pad, not unlike bamboo shoots in the fingernails for harley riders. all the scratched paint and chrome would cause spontaneous combustion of the rider..... check up on it, its a documented scientific fact done by rocket surgeons

on the other side I forgot to say that I'm good for that date. so yall can hit my bike with scotch brite then (it'll help me in the prep work for the paint job)
