Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
I'm still hopeful to be able to go. The weather sounds good. I've got a case of nerves for some reason... *sigh*
Meeting at Micky D's sounds good to me. I've never been to the Stagecoach so going in a group saves me from getting lost. LOL What time?

Oh yeah that is a good idea about cutting thru to 225 on Bromley.. But if there are any new riders with us we had better not.. Not sure of a good time yet..

What about an old rider with new nerves. LOL. I do love curves just haven't sucked up to the high speed part yet. That cut thru would be beautiful, though.

Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
Depending on work tomorrow... I am going to try and get out of work that day, so I can make this event. Sounds like a good time.
Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
Well maybe we should do the cut threw on Bromley. We don't have to go fast.. Its a nice road and 225 is nicer than 59 for sure. Phantom I hope you can make it.

We can slow down for new riders and what better way to get back into the groove than some twistys. Let me know if we are going to do this so I can plan on it and figure out when and where to meet up with everyone.

We could stop for a few minutes and let the brave at heart go back thru the last few curves again at there speed.

Its sounding like a plan to me. Meet up in Loxley and ride up 59 to 31.. Take 31 to Bromley and then hit 225.. This should be a great ride.

Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
So far sounding like a meet up in Loxley at the McDonald's just south of the interstate on Thursday morning 12/30. Any route sounds good to me but the one someone mentioned above would be great. What is not ironed out yet is meet up time.
I don't ride that fast so don't mind bringing up the rear. Twisties don't mean much to me as I will be taking my sidecar rig and it does not lean!

Ok leading NP. some other groups I have road with meet up at Loves Truck stop north of 10 in loxley more parking and good coffee. McD's or Loves make no difference to me but we do need a time to meet and a KSU time.

Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
Well we need to know how many are planning on eating breakfast at stage coach before we can set a time, its almost an hour to stockton on 59; more than an hour the other route. If no one is planning on eating breakfast at stage coach then we can meet anytime. We just need to know what everyones plans are.

MCd's is on the left if you are coming from Rdale just before I-10 and Loves is on the other side of 10 from McD's on the right side of 59.

Ya ain't skeert, are ya?
Loves would be good because it does have more parking and it's easier to get in and out of. As long as no truckers feel like recreating a scene from Smokey & the Bandit, I'm good.

May be showing your age cause some of these young peoples might not know what you are talking about with Smoky and the Bandit.
