Cool. Unfortunately, the 30th falls on a Thursday, which means I may have to work that day. It will be a game time decision for me.

If you've never been, there's a lot of bikes that show up. Here's some pics of last year.

This is a "RTE" (Ride to eat). The Stagecoach is going to open around 8 and serve Breakfast. (They"re not normally open for breakfast.) Riders typically start showing up throughout the morning and fill up the parking lot by noon. Most years the lot will be almost empty again by 1:30 or 2:00 pm. A group of local riders is going to meet at the Oasis around 8 am and have breakfast, and then ride as a group to the Stagecoach. I've never been to this event, but best I can tell, everybody just rides there, hangs out, socializes, eats and then leaves. I don't think they actually mount up and ride anywhere as a group. With this large of a turnout though, I'm sure it will be an event not to be missed! Hope to see you guys (and gals) there. I'll be on a blue V-Strom...

That's a whole lotta eating! The Oasis....that's the truck stop on the interstate, yes?

Yes. Big group meets there for breakfast EVERY Saturday morning around 7. Good meeting point between Mobile and Pensacola. GREAT Breakfast!

i'm out this year. just got word at work that between now and january 2nd, the only day i have off is christmas. this company sucks!

i went to one a few years ago - was kinda neat. had breakfast (huge buffet with good food) ate next to a couple from tennessee and one from virginia. socialized a bit, met up with some old friends - and left.

FYI - gravel parking lot. watched a lot of people do some slow drops and unusual dismounts

I am going to try and make it this year. I'll take off work for it. If yall want to ride in as a group let me know. I know some bama Yankees that are riding in for it. I have heard about that breakfast at the oasis. No way I am getting up that early.

Miss G you could just take 59 there. The stage coach is close to where 59 and 225 come together.

Yeah, 7 is a little early to me for breakfast...or waking in general some days. LOL

working is working... nowadays cant be too choosey. hahaha. and OT is always a plus.

You're right about the working for sure! OT is a GOOD thing.

Looks like it may be upper 60's by Thursday so perhaps good weather for the last ride. I am gonna try and make it. Not sure about breakfast buffet plus lunch buffet...that is a lot of food. Is there any interest in this group meeting up and riding there together or is everyone just on their own?

I am coming from Mobile and I am going to meet Hammer somewhere. He is coming from P-cola. I think it would be cool to ride in as a group.

Just a thought...probably the best middle point would be Loxley. There is a McDonalds there...not crazy about their food but coffee is pretty good and it is right at the interstate exit and highway 59. We could all meet there and then head up 59 which turns into the Gulf Coast Parkway up to 225 and then head that way to the Stagecoach. There is also a waffle house across the street but not sure I want to eat and then go to the stagecoach and eat some more.

Any other thoughts or input?

That seems like a fine place to meet. I am not going to eat either. I hope we get some more people in on this.. Folks come from all over the country for this thing. I don't know why... But they do. Y'all bundle up and put some miles on the ol scoot.,

I went riding Friday. Too cold now. Kinda of funny though....I used to live up in northern Illinois.....those days in Jan and Feb when it would reach about 33 and not too much snow out I would fire the scooter up just for a short ride and be happy about it. I suppose living down here where there are so many nice days...not much sense wasting the miles on the crappy days when ya don't have to.

It usually is a big turn out at the stagecoach. The parking lot is the bike show. Interesting t6o see the license plates from so many northern states.

Make the ride interesting, leave loxley go to 39 in stapleton, cut over bromley road and the curves then back on white house fork road and more curves to bay minette then dolive to 225 then to stage coach. it would be a nice ride in a round about way.
I am thining about going but dont know if I want to leave bay minette to turn around and go back, If ya want to do this ride I could meet ya in stapleton.
