Re: Last Ride of the year 12/30
Just sprinkles on the way to Loves....after about 15 min or so looked like they may stop....as we were about to leave.....all hope went away as it started raining hard then...lasted until a few miles from the Stagecoach.....4 bikes.....5 people......one covered sidecar....at least one of us stayed dry!
Fairly large turn out as usual. They give all the awards at noon...then the parking lot begins to clear out. Good meal. Not too bad for the last event of the year....now...on to planning next years events and rides!

That was a wet ride after all... Looks like I don't decide the weather. Still fun. Glad J and 2002xlh showed up!

Drive yer car down to Daytona if ya want! No one really cares. It is kinda like a cross between a biker carnival and biker "toys r us" all rolled into one. I went down this last time with a bad foot injury. Could barely walk. Made it as far as Jacksonville, FL on the first day out and stayed overnight. Got up the next morning to head down to Daytona...was 27 degrees outside! Went back in the room hoping it would warm up a bit....it did...around 10am it got up to 31 or so!

Sorry, I missed you guys today. It was raining hard, so I donned my new Purple Thong and headed out. I stopped up the road for gas and the local Sheriff decided he didn't like the way I was dressed! (Profiling a motorcyclist) Anyway, I was run in. I swear, I didn't know that the skinny part was supposed to go in the back. Must have been why my wife was laughing so hard when I left!

Oh no! What kind of surgery, if you don't mind my asking? I have rotator cuff surgery coming at me in about a month.

When you get your surgery, make sure they mark the correct side while you are still awake.
My Uncle was at home one afternoon and his leg started hurting. By late that night his leg was killing him, so he went to the emergency room. It was cancer and it actually was killing him! So they rushed him to surgery and amputated his leg. In recovery, his condition was not improving. When they started investigating why he was not improving, they found they had cut off the WRONG LEG! They had to take him back to surgery and remove his other leg. That day he had gone to work feeling fine and by the next morning he was laying in a hospital bed with no legs because of a surgeon's mistake.
Be sure they cut into the correct shoulder.

Well I am planning on going again this year but i wiont be riding my bike to there. I bought a toy hauler and if will take it and just ride the bike once im there. And hell yeah it was freakin cold going down there last year it was like 20f when i left the house and believe me that was total insanity. Miss G i feel for ya darlin cause that shoulder s*it is a real buzz killer. The therapy is insane but the pain you have now is unbearable.Maybe we will have a chance to meet before march and do some riding. Also if it wasnt for my cruise control i wouldnt be able to ride any distance at all.
OK everyone lets get this weather outta the way and do some riding.
Peace Love and RocnRoll
Happy New Year All beachbum_
BTW I am trying to plan a trip not only to daytona but PanamaCcity and hopefully Sturgis in august

Sturgis..*sigh*...a dream that's on the verge of dying. Always wanted to go...just once. Don't think I'll make Daytona...the jury is out on that one
but Panama City might be doable! I look forward to getting to meet some folks from here and doing some riding when the weather is more agreeable. Stupid rain... Beachbum_, you're absolutely right about the pain right now....man...it sucks big time.

Well anyway... Heres that tiny little video for those that missed out on the event. This really is pretty much it beside some food and riding in some rain.

Great little video!
By the way, is there an easy way to post pics and stuff like that here? I have not figured it out yet.
