Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Someone got impatient!
So I could not wait to play!
Not a whole lot done, but it was nice to get out there and at least get something going!

I have had the header for a while, just did not put it on. Right now there is a baffle in there, but it will be open megga!

Due to some of lifes events, I have not had time to be out in the shop and will not have much time for a while. So while I am stuck inside I decided to work on some of the things I could. I took open my gauges and designed my speedo face. I will be doing a matching tach face as well. Here is what I have done so far.

Thanks weirdbeard!
I finished up both gauges, it took a while to get all of it lined up right, but I think it was worth it. I edited the speedo a bit to change the font and clean it all up some. I am very happy with the design, I think it is a neat custom touch. What do you guys think?

Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Yes sir, 10k is stock red line, after my mods are done it should raise the red line to more like 10500, but I am still going to treat 10k as the detonation line since I will still be running stock pistons and connecting rods.!

Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Gauges are being a bitch due to the fact that epoxy paint takes forever to cure when it is cold, so I just brought them in the house! Anyway, while I was waiting on that I did start the badge restoration on the 350 fours badges. I stopped by the hobby shop and picked up some testors model paint and some of the little cone points that go on a model glue tube. I mounted those tips (with some mods) to a syringe for my paint tool. You will see there is a little paint on the top ridges in places, but that will buff right off with some 0000 steel wool. I have to let them dry and then do a little touch up before the buffing, but here they are as of now.

Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Finally had some time to get out in the shop and really get some work going, and man was it therapeutic! I only got a little done, see:
Also cut off some steel from the frame for the first time!
Here is how she sits now, but now that I have it this far down, it gives me lots of stuff to do with any chance I get to get out in the shop.
Also, here is a shot of how far I got with the gauges, still waiting on the housings to finish curing.
Thank all of you for the kind words; they drive me almost as much as my dreams of riding her on a sunny spring day!
