Hello all! My name is Lucinda and my husband Jason (jpg0511) has been a member of this forum for a couple of months now and has a 2012 victory Jackpot and I am about to get my very first bike on Monday its a 2009 Suzuki GZ 250 and taking my riding lessons on august 2nd. I am VERY nervous and EXCITED at the same time! I CANT WAIT to learn how to ride! If any one has any advice I would love to hear it, Thanks.

Congrats on the new bike. Welcome from Gulf shores. My wife wants to learn to ride. As far as advice, always ride like the the cars around will do the most stupid thing possible.

hey all, just wanted to say hi and tell everyone i went to my first riding class today and LOVED IT! I didn't get to ride or anything yet Crying or Very sad I did learn A LOT already though and the riding comes saturday and sunday! CANT WAIT THOUGH!

As far as advice goes............ I think my best advice is ride your own ride, don't feel like you have to do anything the idiot in front of you tried, and practice slow speed and emergency maneuvers (panic stops) in large empty parking lots often enough that they become 2nd nature.

Anyone can ride fast, it takes skill to maneuver correctly at slow speeds.

And just remember to put your feet down when you stop. Razz it may sound funny but I know a few people that can't seem to figure that one out. geek
