William F. Green State Veterans Home
300 Faulkner Drive
Bay Minette, Alabama
Saturday, 21 July 2012
Fellow PGR Members,
It is time again to honor our HEROES OF YESTERYEAR. The residents of William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette always look forward to our visits. We brighten their days when we show up. The sound of the motorcycles, the warm smiling faces, all mean so much to our veterans. Many of the 150 residents have no family to come visit them - we are their family. A lot of the veterans would love to share their service experiences with you. Even just a few minutes spent with these HEROES provides a lift to their spirits that can not be measured. Whether you spend time helping with bingo, visit the veterans in their rooms, or sing songs for them, it is time well spent. These HEROES stood for us in WW II, Korea, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Lets honor them.
Mark your calendars for Saturday 21 July 2012.

HOTH Mission Special Escort Mobile Public Safety Complex 8080 Airport Blvd Mobile, AL Thursday, 9 August 2012
Fellow PGR Members, The City of Mobile Tunnel-to-Towers Run committee has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to provide a special escort on Thursday, 9 August 2012. This escort, while not our standard HOTH Welcome Home escort, is equally important and patriotic and will honor the HEROES that are often not thought of –our fire fighters, law enforcement, and Emergency Medical Services personnel who put their lives on the line for us every day.
This special escort will be for a piece of steel from the World Trade Center in New York. This very special piece of steel from the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center will be presented to the City of Mobile honoring the efforts of the first responders from Mobile, Daphne, and the surrounding area who selflessly gave of their time and skills to recover those who perished in the worst attack on America since Pearl Harbor. The escort will travel from the Mobile Public Safety Complex on Airport Blvd to Battleship Memorial Park on the Causeway. This escort will have LEO support and escort for the entire route.
STAGING: Mobile County Ambassador Plaza Shopping Center Airport Blvd and Schillinger Rd Mobile, AL Time: 0815 KSU: 0830 RC: Fran “Little Girl” Barber
Baldwin County Staging Scenic Overlook US-98 at I-10, Exit 35 Spanish Fort, AL Time: 0700 KSU: 0715 RC: Greg "Big Daddy" Brown 251-209-0266
Flag Captains: John “Sarge” Sibley and Lloyd “Cager Lloyd” Pursley
Mission RCIC: Bob “Yoda” Johnson 251-648-5744 Yoda56@mediacombb.net
This is a major event for the Bay Area, as well as for the Patriot Guard Riders to be asked to play as large a role in it as we have. We need as large a turnout as possible for this escort. Mark your calendars now for Thursday, 9 August 2012.
Respectfully,

18 Aug 2012 - Saturday Pvt. Charles Ralph Van Sant US Army WWII Fairhope, AL Fellow Riders, It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that America has lost another True American Hero... The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to stand in honor of Pvt. Charles Ralph Van Sant. US Army. We will run a escort from Wolf-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope to Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fairhope where we will stand a flagline for the graveside service. There will be no service at the funeral home. Mr. Van Sant has NO family in Alabama and very little family elsewhere. His Nephew, Bill Van Sant, who is a PGR member in Tennessee, will be coming down on his bike and will ride with us to honor his uncle. Since we, The Patriot Guard Riders, will be standing in as Mr. Van Sant's Brothers and Sisters... I would like to see a very big turnout. HOTH Mission William F. Green State Veterans Home
300 Faulkner Drive Bay Minette, Alabama
Saturday, 18 August 2012
Fellow PGR Members, It is time again to honor our HEROES OF YESTERYEAR. Mark your calendars for Saturday 18 August 2012.
Staging Location: The old Tom Thumb, 2001 US Hwy 31 S, Bay Minette, AL (across from Faulkner State Community College) Time: 9:00 am KSU: 9:15 am RCIC: Greg "big daddy" Brown. 251-209-0266
I hope to see a great turnout to honor and visit with our HEROES OF YESTERYEAR. I'll see you there.
