Ok boys and girls, Caroline and I are getting closer to the begining of the building, so get ready for the updates to start coming in again! I just compiled a shopping cart of goodies over at Dime City Cycles and should have it in in about two weeks....well most of it, some is back ordered. Anyway, I will have enough to get me going good so stay tuned!
Oh, and don't tell Caroline about the DCC order, its her Christmas presents!
I will get some pics up when it all comes in!

Brother Twisted you did an awesome job wrapping your headers! They look really nice!
Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
I LOVE wrapped headers and pipes. Just about every bike I build has it.

Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Thanks guys, I really took my time and planned it out well before I started. The whole header is done in four pieces. I wrapped the 2 outside pipes from about half their length back to the head end, then (third piece) wrapped the 2 left side pipes from the collector up to the bend where they split, then continued that piece all the way up the inside left pipe to the head end. I then began the fourth piece at the end of the pipe close to the part where the can will attach and wrapped it over the collector until the split of 2 one way and 2 the other way (2 of them on the left were already wrapped). I continued wrapping the 2 unwrapped ones until the split of them, where I continued the same piece all the way up that inside pipe to the head end. I am not sure that makes sense, but I guess if you were wrapping a 4 cylinder header, you could get it.....Maybe!!!!

Brother Twisted that is one of the nicest header wrap jobs I have ever seen and as with everything I have seen you do your craftsmanship is beautiful!
Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Thanks everyone for the nice comments, and I promise there is a lot to come! Brother Joey, thank you sir, your words really mean a lot coming from a craftsman like yourself! I try to hold all of my work to a high standard, which was something my father really nailed into me about my work.

Re: Project "Caroline", 1973 CB350 four
Here is a pic of it all together minus the one remaining part. I can't wait to get started....I am so excited!
As soon as the holidays are over I will be getting started. My wife has some surgery stuff for us to go through, so that will slow me down some while I take care of all that. As soon as she gets well though, I will hit this build head on all out until Caroline is done and lighting the streets on FIRE!
