Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
I have found all those this morning. I am awaiting on a call back from the BSA guy, The RD is a good bike, but I dont want a 2 stroke right now. teh seca is interesting, btu i am looking for somethign older. As for the chopper, Well I dont ride choppers. Not my thing. The honda matic is interested till I saw there was no title and no idea if it ran or not. I am still on the hunt. Thanks for the links but I am going to keep searching. Somethign is bound to turn up sooner or later.

I'll keep the eyes peeled. How big of a project are we talking here? You wanting a running titled bike specifically?

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
I would preferr a title, Running is not a requirement, I have has several non runners in the last few years. I am a pretty fair mechainc, Havent found one I couldnt bring back to life yet. I would like to have somethign in the 70 era like a 350-550 honda or the like. 2 or 4 cylinder, doesnt really matter.

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
There's a cb550 four here in Gulf Shores sitting by the highway. He used to want too much for it, but I think it's been sitting out there for long enough that he'd probably take a lot less than he was asking 5 months ago...

What was he askin for it. I have on in Oklahoma at my parents house that I could use as a parts bike. Mine is a 1976 CB 550 Four. I love that bike until I gave it to my dad and he put a huge vetter fairing on it adn then let it set for many years.

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
The dude wanted $2700. I laughed and he told me to make him an offer and I told him it would only hurt his feelings and left. I think it runs but it's got a small leak on the jugs and the hooker 4into2 exhaust has a few rust holes. If you could get it under a grand it would be a sweet deal. He hasn't sold it yet, I saw it on the side of the road again friday!

Will do. Twisted might be able to get the info before me. It's alot closer to him. I'll tell him to stop if he gets a chance and I will do the same if I get up that way.

Cool Dont go out of your way, but if you happen to be int he neighborhood, you know. But if he is still stuck near $2700 he is going to have it for a long time.

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
I know. That's way too much. I don't know if he's got a title or what year it is. He thinks it's an 81, but it's not. If I get out there I'll ask these pertinent questions.

I wouldn't call this ugly, and perhaps out of your range. But it's pretty sweeeeeeet.

That Trumpet is sweet! If it were me I'd rather have a 650cc model, but beggars and choosers and all of that...

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
Well the guy with teh BSA never called me back, I left several messages, Checked the link and its deleted by the author, so I assume it's sold. The Triumph is a nice bike. But I couldnt bear to hack it up for what I am wanting to do. I may have found a 1972 Honda 350 for a rpoject. I am waiting in a call from the owner.

Re: Project found, thanks everyone..
Start hacking away excess weight, Striaght pipes, Firerglass tail section and clip ons. Just vintage cafe racer look.
