Pcola BMW Open House 9/15/12

This is the same day as the Mobile HD Open House..... We could do some riding and hit both of them! Anyone else game?

Looks like a good idea. But I will be working. Gonna try to get to bay HD on my lunch break.

I think I am gonna try to do both and get a free lunch at both of them. Anyone else game?

Tentative plan for next Saturday....go to Cracker Barrel at Eastern Shore for Bfast with the Oasis bunch.....then blast over to Pcola BMW open house for a bit...then maybe blast over to Mobile HD to catch their open house....hopefully score some free food at both......hey!!! Ya have to have goals!!!

Damn, I'll be working. Who has an Oktoberfest in September anyway?

I will be going to BMW but probably in the cage since there will be 3 of us.

U need to find yerself a "Deuce Coupe" to haul around that many people!

I know but my Hyundai Sonata gets 33mpg at 75mph. But, I would love to have a matching sidecar for my RK. My problem is I'm cheap and hooked on MPG! I was tickeled pink that the RK got 41 mpg Saturday.

Deuce Coupe gets 25-28 mpg on a good day!

That mpg bites me too. Never thought a bike could be beat. But I avg 41 mpg on my bike while my car averages 48.

Guess those sidecars really drag ya down! 28??? wow.

Yep. Sidecars and good MPG just do not go well together. I did have a Beemer with sidecar that got a little better but not that much. I have an HD with that 103" motor and a heavier than most sidecar. It is a 2 seater with a huge trunk. All that extra weight and wind resistance adds up.

But...if I were really concerned about economy....I probably would ride something besides an HD.

Game Plan for tomorrow:

hopefully I can get my dumb a** out of bed in time to go up to the Cracker Barrel at the Eastern Shore mall for bfast with the Oasis bunch.....then may hit the ESHD for a free coffee and see what else is going on....then blast over to Pcola to check out the BMW dealers open house....supposed to have free German food there......then gonna blast all the way over to Mobile for the Mobile HD open house....free food from 11am to 1pm....then...not sure after that! But I will damn sure crank out some miles for a mid September day!!

Anyone else game for the ride??

RTEF day (Ride to East Free!!

Got to the cracker barrel for starters...then rode to Pcola BMW with three other people....true diversity....a triumph rocket III 2300cc monster bike....a Kymco 250cc scooter....a very cool 2012 Moto Guzzi 750 cafe racer and my HD bringing up the rear......had brats and german potatoes at the BMW dealer....blasted west....met up with Debi in Elsanor...then over across the bay to Mobile HD...they had a bigger spread of food....catfish and chicken fingers, baked beans, cole slaw and potato salad and several deserts....just got home...now it is food coma time before we go over to the neighbors for the football game and more food!

Damn. Hate that I missed it at HD.

We hit up D&D cycles, then Eastern Shore Halls after BMW..had a great day!

Man, those Beamers are like their 4 wheeled cousins. A little pricey. But I know they are super quality bikes. I would love to have one of thier touring bikes one day. One of the salesman was sure trying hard to sell me Courtney's (BMW/HD Owner) personal BMW with attached Hannigan Side car. It's going to be a hard sell. Sport bike with a side/car? Price seems fair for the right person. Just not me. I did enjoy the Brats, chreame puffs, root beer and soft pretzels.
