Ride for Motorcyclist Rights- 4/28/12 Saturday-Ride to State Capital-Montgomery

Sorry for late notice on this one. I am headed up there Saturday. Details in flyer. First time this has been done in Alabama that I am aware of. I will pilot my Low Flying Softail up there in the morning and flying back later in the day. All you iron butt people out there should come on up and rack up some miles for a good cause.....ours!!

1st stop BP I-65 & hwy 287 Bay Minette I-65 exit 37 - *7:45 am

90 miles to gas stop Smokehouse BBQ Greenville I-65 exit 128 - *9:15 am

Couldn't sleep here either. Probably leaving around 6:15-6:30am.

I'm leaving at 6 got one stop to make.

Missed Jmunsey and rode up with the Soldiers for the Cross. Great ride, A peculiar bunch of hard core riders. Saw Jmensey up there, over 200 hundred bikes. The Month of May is officially Biker Awareness Month.

I cranked up there solo......Easier to listen to the stereo without all those other loud pipes. Good ride....I ended up with about 380 miles total...left the capital and followed someone with a GPS to the HD dealer...they had free hot dogs and bottled water....I had a HD salesman long ago tell me that if you can ever get anything free from an HD dealer to go for it.....so I did! Then blasted back south...stopped at exit 93 Loves station again for a beer and roast beef......some of the southern region ABATE people showed up...then I blasted on home. Now I am completely sun burnt and super tired...but a great ride and a very nice day.

Coming Home was exhausting the winds picked up. Guess from all of use zooming North, created a breeze
