2014 stagecoach ride 12/30/2014

That time of the year again and also they still keep putting this ride during the week! lucky me I am off again this year and able to make it, hope to see some of you there if not maybe in the spring or ??

I have always wanted to go , and have always wondered why they don't have it on the last Saturday .

On another forum a few weeks ago I asked this in a thread , and stated they would probably get better participation ..

The thread was started by someone who is apparently a big wheel with the ride , and his response was they tried it a few times , but some of the 'regulars' missed it , because they thunketh it was on the 30th or 31st , like it always had been in the past ..

And he ended it with 'If you really want to be on the ride , you will get time off to be there' .. Kinda arrogant attitude to me ..

Appears , the last few years it has been on the 30th , which is bogus , if you really want to be there have it on the 'last day' of the year ..

With his response in that thread , surely will not have to be concerned over me ever being there ..

Yes, you are right too much hype about last ride of the year and selling all the food in the place.
There were more riders this year than last years with various small groups of ( you name anything goes it social riding clubs) from several states.
Then an equal number of individual riders like myself no club attachments but riding to ride.
I will keep up my tradition of riding on the 31st and new years day , if I was a hardcore type maybe ride new years eve into the new year. But older and wiser keeps me from mingling with all the party goers and risking an encounter with injury.

Now the issue is to get the shovel tuned today and ride both bikes on short sorties to end the past year and bring in the New year.
