Last ride of the year stagecoach

It is nearly that time of year again, this years last ride of the year to Stockton's stagecoach cafe is on Monday December 30th, 2013.

wish is was on sunday.

Me to. I understand that it's always on the 30th, but what is the sense in that? The one last year was on Sunday and I believe the retirees did not out number the ones that still work for a living. I could understand it being on the 31st since that would literally be the last day of the year to ride!

I wish it was on a Sunday too. Even that time of year is not always that easy to get time off. I want to make this one but things not looking good. 6 days post knee replacement surgery so far and things not going as well as I had hoped. Will have to wait and see though. Hope everyone else is doing great, have a Merry Christmas and happy New Year! I sure hope next year turns out to be a better riding year than this year was.

I try and schedule being off this time of the year and lucky so far, one of the few good things about self employed. I want to take the shovel down for paint and some other things so holding off until after the new years. I have a new years party invite in North GA. I am still considering which would mean me missing this ride to be there. Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year's.

I just saw some poll that said of all those polled, 2/3 thought 2013 sucked. Not sure of the accuracy or validity of the pole but looking out the window the past couple hours on a Saturday morning, with non-stop rain...sure seems this year has sucked! I am hoping to make the last ride this year. No guarantees yet. Pretty much indicative of the rest of this year. Maybe every once in a while you need a really sucky year.....just to make the next one that much better. I am praying for better next year.

Anyone else planning on the last ride?

Yea, it has been a strange year here also but at least everyone is still some what healthy, so their is a blessing hidden. Also hoping 2014 is a far better year than the years past.

I am planning on riding Jim, will make final decision tomorrow evening.

This has truly been a sucky year for me and am desperately looking forward to 2014 being better. I was hoping to at least stop by the stagecoach riding passenger in the car but now that is not even gonna happen. This knee replacement is turning out to be more painful and slower recovery than the other one. I was hoping to be getting around better with the cane by now but seems I am still stuck hobbling around with that walker. Gonna have to pass on this one this year and hope to make next years. I hope who ever gets to go to the Last ride of the year has fun. I am presently stuck in coon a$$ country working. If I would have been able to be off, I woould be trying to get to the Stagecoach.

Happy New Year All

Well I made the ride today solo all the way and I was surprised by the turnout bigger than I would have expected; bikes on both sides of the road and full parking lot. Talked to a few others who also rode solo being their usual riding group was working etc..
I will still ride as usual on the official last and first day of the year even if around locally to the store and back rain, sleet or dead of night...oops that is MISS G;s logo!!

I hated to miss it this year. I agree weekend would have been better. 23 days now post knee replacement surgery. Hope to get a lot more riding in this year once I get past this.

How is that knee doing Munsey , hope you're back in the saddle again .   

Much better. I got some Harley "Deuce Coupe" time in this weekend. I am ready to roll now. Just have to get past this crappy winter weather now. I have visions of Daytona Beach Bike Week dancing in my head these days.
