I did a demo ride here in Daytonda today with the new Indian Vintage.....absolutely fantastic bike! I have been riding 43 + years,,,at least half on HD's...nothing has impressed me as much as this new Indian made my Polaris. I just have to figure some way to convince the wife to let me buy one....may not be easy! One more day in Daytona and then heading back. Great weather so far. Hope it holds out going home@

Thanks for the review. I will be at Hattiesburg Cycles this week to check them out.

I think they are having an open house with demo rides the last weekend of the month. I got 2 phone calls from them and several emails so far. Guess they have a lot of money investedin the new Indian andare anxious to sell some. Sadly, leaving Daytona and heading home today. Good weather though so far.

I stopped by Hattiesburg Cycles today. Nice friendly people.

While I did not test ride due to the weather, I will say I was blown away by the appearance of the bikes. I have always wanted an Indian. The problem now is that what I saw today was ART. I want to put one in my living room and have accent lights shining on it.  bounce  bounce  bounce

I was a little surprised at the Chieftain. It felt short. I guess between my 2 Victories I was expecting to be able to stretch out a little more. Kinda felt like I was sitting on top of the front tire.

Did I mention that the bikes are ART?

I kind of had the same feeling about them. They are just so drop dead gorgeous I would almost be afraid to ride it and maybe get caught in the rain or get a scratch on it. They are truly a classic and polaris has done a great job of resurrecting the brand. Then there is the cost factor....If I win the lottery or find a spare $20-25K just laying around I might run up thee and buy one. But sadly, until that happens I will probably just ride my Softail and Deuce Coupe till the wheels rot off.

Hey! I see some sunshine for a change and today is the Elberta Sausage festival!
