daytona bike week

I may sit it out this Year, I'm planning a trip up north in May, then again I may do the hard ride, Leave on a Friday and come home Sunday.

I just made my reservations for Bike Week yesterday. Leaving here morning of 3/13 (Tues).....stopping overnight either in Jville or St. Augustine. Arriving Daytona Wed morning. Staying at the Hampton in Daytona Beach Shores for 3 nights and checking out on Sat. May stop in Ocala on the way home Saturday...they are having a sidecar rally there that weekend. Should get home Sunday.

Gonna miss it again, I'm afraid. Too many other events filling up my schedule.

ABATE commissions an entire campground very near there, or so I been told and also been told that it's a nice place to hang around they have their own vendors and events that go on.

I am planning on riding down if there is some dry weather. Not riding in the rain though.

I may go the week end of the 9th, depends on the weather

Is anybody heading out Friday morning 3-9-12? If its raining I'll take I-10 for 200 miles. If its dry, then I'm riding across Eglin in the sand. Either way I'm heading east Friday morning

I wont be heading the 15th thru 18th. Have an ironbutt get together in jacksonville to attend. Short trip this year.

Heading out on Tuesday 3/13......right after voting in the primary!

im leaving friday morning around 5am but i will be in the truck as the camper an bike is already down there if anyone needs anything transported down or back let me know

Looking like great weather down there this year...for a change!!! If you see a big blue and white sidecar rig down there....that is the Deuce Coupe and we will be in it and on it!

I will be riding what is in my avatar. I will look for the deuce coupe and say hi if i see u. Going to head out on 3/15.

My camping plans hae changed, but I will still be there, probally the only blue FJR with a pelican case on the back of it.

No I am heading out after work, Straight to jacksonville for the IBA dinner. Heading to daytona on Sat morning for the races.

After the raes I am thinking of heading to Miami to the beach. Gotta be back home on sunday night sometime so it will be a short trip this year.

Just plotted our route. Trying to stay off Interstates as much as possible this time. Headed out Tuesday thru Perry to Gainesville - about 370 miles and stopping for the night....then on Wed on into the Volusia County Fairgrounds swap meet. That day is the sidecar show. Then later probably over to Cabbage Patch and maybe Pub 44 and then up to Daytona Beach Shores. 3 nights and then heading back on Saturday. return trip is completely up in the air right now. Should get back home sometime Sunday. Looking like awesome weather the entire time.

There is a very nice KOA in perry, they rent cabins and camp spots. Ran by an older couple that rides a BMW.

Not going, Have fun, Tully see if they'll give you my Hog pin.

I want to wish all of you heading to Bike week -a safe ride down -good times-and a safe return.

Oh yea..I am Damn jealous of you all wish I was going but working thru the event , Scadoodle I get back this coming Sunday so maybe next week we can do a short ride..haven't been on the shovel for a month now and need to break in those new tires.

Bitter sweet news.

Found out yesterday that my Youngest daughter will be inducted into the national honor society friday. She has always had straight A's and is a model student according to her teachers. (4th grade now) Pretty cool news for me. Hope she keeps it up. Just had to share.

Unfortunatley i cannot make my IBA dinner so thats not going to happen. Almost thinking if cancelling this year altogether. Will have to ride out friday night to jacksonville, then to the races saturday morning, down the miami after the race, than pound more super slab back home on Sunday. Just seems too rushed this year.

Still no regreats, I have to be a dad to my daughters before i cna go running around. Bitter sweet.
