Didn't ruffle my feathers, Hayweed, so i didn't take offense at it. I have since pretty well come to the conclusion that my account isn't fully activated, tho, since even when i click on a topic, i don't get a block that says "New Topic"...i've e-mailed the Admin about it.

Re: New member from Satsuma
Hey Hatch, it shouldn't be inside of a topic.
Here, let me post some screen captures to let you know where to find it.
Okay, once you click on a forum (For example, this Forum (not this topic)).
As an example, this is the "New to the Forum" forum.
However, this is a specific topic within the New Users forum.
So, click on the "New to the Forum" forum.
There should be the option to create a new topic as shown here:
You can't create a topic within a topic, you have to be up one level in an actual forum.
In other words, this is a specific topic within a forum. You can only reply here.
To post your own topic go up one level to the "New to the Forum" forum and you should see the button to create your topic there. It's the same one marked in the screenshot I posted.
I hope I didn't confuse you even more man.
Ted

Re: New member from Satsuma
Nope. But i can click on any of the forums, and open them, and read anything there, but no place does it say anything like "New Topic." And i can't just directly reply to any entry, i have to go in thru "Preview." But i'm at work now, and maybe that has something to do with it, although it generally doesn't. I'll look at this from home and see if that makes any difference in not having a firewall. Sorry for the problems..

Just make sure you are signed in. It will not let you start a new topic if you are not signed in. I know I sound like a broker record but that is the onlt time I have had trouble. If you get home and still can't start a topic you can call me @251/604-6334.

Re: New member from Satsuma
Hayweed, if he wasn't signed in, he couldn't even reply to a topic.
You have to be signed in to post.
Hatch, if you are running a browser with scripts disabled none of the buttons would show and you would have to do some stuff like replying through preview. Do you have scripts disabled in your browser?
Try enabling scripts in your browser. If you are at work, they might have disabled them.
Failing that, try accessing it from home, as you said, and see if you see the buttons.
At any rate, welcome to the forum man

Re: New member from Satsuma
All good suggestions.... which browser are you using? I'm betting he will see it on his home computer. Some of these businesses have been getting savvy to the web surfing at work and are starting to block a lot of the content.
