Hey folks. I just bought a new (used) bike a week ago. I've been looking for a local forums/group to join.
I'm glad I found a group that is all about "motorcycles" and riding it. And best of all, ya'll are right here in LA.
About me: hasn't ride almost 20 years
My new (used) bike: 2000 Magna, 5400 miles, all original.
I am really excited and looking forward to learn more about my bike and the forum.

hayweed - It needs a little spit-n-polish and I hope to resolve couple of issue with it. Other than that, it was a steal for what it is. Very Happy

I do have a question as a mater of fact. Is/are there a freelance mechanic among us or a shop that ya'll can recommend?
The left front fork is leaking and it can probably use a good tuning as well. I don't mind doing the work myself, but just don't want to mess anything up without a good guidance.

The first thing you need is a good repair manual. Servicing is not too bad. Fork seals is a little difficult but if you mechanicaly inclined it won't be that bad. There are plenty of members that will give you advice when needed. If you need help someone will always be there. I work 6-12's. So it is hard for me to be hands on. But I will do my best if you need the help.

I look forward to meet some folks once its ready. I work in Daphne so I'm planning on some miles in the months to ahead.

hayweed, I downloaded a repair manual and have been looking over it. Doesn't look too bad.
And WOW! 12 hrs is a long time at any job, and you're doing for 6 days! Can't say I envy that part. But I'm sure you laugh all the way to the bank comes pay day Very Happy
