When bad luck becomes good luck

Today i really wanted to go for a nice long ride.First i went by stokes victory shop in p'cola to get the oil changed and shoot the breeze.well as you probaly know the skies opened up and it was wicked.there was a quick break in the weather so i climbed on my vic and headed toward the house believing my day was a washout,all of a sudden five mintutes later pulling up to a light snap the clutch cable broke,so i made a quick uturn and headed back to stoke's and as i pulled in the bottom fell out with one wicked storm.i couldnt believe that i didnt even get a drop on me. once my ride came to get me all the way home it was an all out monsoon so i know that if the cable had not broken i would have had one miserable fifteen minute ride.so the timing of the break couldnt have worked out better and the only downside is they had to order my cable so my mistress will have to sleep over a few nights almost one year after buying my baby she needs a little tlc and will be a way from me and i really just dont like it. i did try to get the wife to let me buy a new bike that way i could have a backup. for some reason she said no lol

Yes, we miss them like children. Glad it was somewhat of a minor need to fix.

I hear ya. my accelerator cable snapped last year on the side of the road. Grrrr. I had to get my wife to bring me a pair of vice-grips just to get her back home.

I just bought my Vegas from the Loxley store, great people! I was very impressed with them, only thing is I have to go back Tuesday to get my windshield and sleeves as they did not have them in stock. Anyway I'm loving the new ride!

I know how you feel. Just got mine back after a two week stay at the dealer.
