I go back to work Sat Aug 13th! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Soooo....I may be a tad late for our get together that night.

Laugh all the way to work. Then cry if it makes you late!!

Schweet. Vacation is good, but money is better, unfortunately.

Damn work always gets in the way of fun stuff.

I know the felling Miss G. I pull out today - Back offshore to the rigs for 3 weeks -

Yeah, I been lookin for a work from home PC job that requires 1 hour a day, my choice of hour that pays six figures. Hard to find, though.

I left home for work in Louisiana on last Sunday evening, and I won't be home until next Thursday Morning early!!

I don't know how y'all do what you do. I'm a homebody. I guess if y'all had a choice, you'd be home too. Good money offshore, tho'. Hope both of y'all have a safe shift.

Well I have been doing this for 20+ years so I am used to it. At least I am land based and don't have to stay offshore. But there are a lot of people that stay offshore.

20+yrs...wow. I guess by now this is old hat to you and your family then. Still, it takes a special kind to be away from home. My late husband loved the work, hated being gone.

I have been a rural carrier for 19 yrs now. Guess I'll hang around and see what happens next.
