I smell raw fuel

I have just put a set of cobra dragsters on my lc1500. and now smell raw fuel on decel but I am not getting any backfiring at all.
Ok now for some info bike had stock pipes and ran fine except when I would shut it off there would be a poof in the tailpipe not a backfire and did not have the smell. I am not sure if there has been any other mods to this bike it is my first and I am the third owner. it has only 7000 miles on it.any ideas

It should run a little lean with those pipes. With better flow I guess you may smell the exhaust more than usual.
