2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
With a sad heart we have to announce the financial pinch has caught up to us. We are forced to offer one of our babies to try to make ends meet. Namely her very first bike, a 2001 Harley Davidson Night Train. this will be posted for a few days in a couple rider boards we are members of, then spread out to other places and also perhaps the local dealer under consignment. (we are REALLY hoping a member could get it where it would be truly cared for and deeply appreciated ) And a couple members from here have ridden it and I am sure they will tell you it is one sweet ride.
2001 FXSTBI Softail Night Train
First year for EFI (two models offered, one carb, one EFI ) which makes it a collector value.
$2000.00 worth of service and work from the local dealership Eastern Shore Harley including a full service, new battery and front rim within the last 6 months. Low mileage, always babied and garage kept. Stage two intake. Vance and Hines "prototype" street sweepers ( this was from when V&H was only releasing a hundred sets a month at $2500 a set) Only things this bike needs to be perfect is to have the seat recovered (small hole ) and the front fender repainted (argument with a bush ) fender is now primed and ready for paint. NADA places this model at around $15,000.00 retail. Asking $10,000.00 and worth every penny. Runs like a brand new one and never a single mechanical malfunction.
For members of course we would do all we can to coordinate shipping or delivery. Pics to be posted within a day. PM me or edera for contact info. And if anyone knows anyone at all, please spread the word, as we could really use moving this ASAP.

Sorry to hear you need to sell it. It sure sounds like a nice bike. I will tell people in my circle about it.

I'll give you $3999. I'll pass it around for you. I hate to see it go. What will Nick have to ride if you sell it?

I honestly hate to see him go, but I realize that there are more important things right now.
Here are some photo's of him and a link to the rest of the album.

Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
I forgot to mention this bike only has 11,734 miles on it as well. That good of shape.
Have gotten a couple maybes so far, but nothing set in stone as yet.

Well, MORE things have popped up. So now instead of boring everyone with the sordid details, I will just say this...
Anyone who can find me a buyer and put the money in my hand by Oct. 4th, I will give a 10 % commission. That's right, a thousand dollars cash in your pocket.
Yes, we need the money that bad.

I have told a few people Dragon, and wish I could help, not just for the 10%, but to help out a friend. I think most everyone is broke right now! I have several friends with bikes for sale at really low prices and they can not move them. I wish you luck and hope things turn around for you! If you would like I can call my friend Billy from Gulf Coat Choppers and see if he will put it in his show room. He will sell bikes on commission. Just let me know!

I know, the economy is beating everyone to death right now. Let us try to sell it outright for a little while and if not, I will get with you about Gulf Coast. Any help is deeply appreciated.

BUMP.
You know....people who will ask for payments, when they know damn well you need the cash fast, then string you along and make you chase them down for the payments afterwards, then just drop off without so much as a "Sorry, things are up in the air, but haven't forgotten, will try etc etc " and then can't be bothered to reply to messages either...really PISS ME OFF.
Back up for sale. I been nice long enough.

Some people have no moral compass. Sorry you got hosed by this guy, I dealt with the same thing on my .32 I had for sale. A simple phone call or email would suffice, but some people choose to be spineless and try to ignore you instead of acting like a man. You learned a lesson just like I did, There is one more person I will never have to deal with again.
Hope it works out for you. Good luck on the sale.

Thanks guys. Yep, any word of mouth that can be spread around would be awesome.
Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
I am still trying to spread the word for you Brother Dragon but it seems that everyone over this way is trying to sell their bikes at give away prices and are having a hard time...but I am still trying!

Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
since it isnt selling yet - could we paint it satin black, remove the rear fender and seat and sissy bar and throw a solo chopper seat on it? can we, huh? can we.... I'll feel sooooooo much better....

Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
Just have to modify something don't you Amish. Now you realize if we paint this, I won't want to sell it. LOL I'd make another Mod/Show bike out of him.
If I could only hit the lottery, or I'd even settle for my house selling up north, then I could hang on to him.
I'd even settle for finding a decent job. Seems I don't know the right relative around here to get word of mouth.

Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
I am still spreading the word, that is one beautiful bike! I really can not believe no one has bought it yet!
Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
Me either. Well worth the money. We have around 17K into it, I sat down and did the figures on it. But with the economy and the Holidays coming up, who knows.
Re: 2001 Night Train. Beloved first bike
Price lowered to $9K.
Got fired today. For making a human error. A serious one, no denying it, but still. Everything happens for a reason I suppose.
