The waving has gotten to be a habit. Occasionally, I will be in the truck and I will catch myself dropping my hand off the wheel and then I will laugh at myself about it.

My theory is they don't wave back because they don't see it.

I've developed a different wave.
I sit as straight as I can on my sport bike, throw my hand as high in the air as I can, and start waving furiously.
I definately know they see it, because their helmets start tracking me.

I've actually had a few do the same wave back.
I laughed.

Ha! I wave at mopeds too. I figure it's like being out on a boat... We all share a big interest and it's just polite.

am I the only guy that a picture of mikey from the goonies on a bike saying "HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!!". thats awesome I thought I was the only guy that goofy. I wave at anyone even at night and I'm quick to one finger salute to the "to cool for school" guys on the "oh my god the rode curves up ahead got to do a three point turn because of my rake". no offense to the guys who ride em, as long as you ride em. too many buy em and wont even look at you. then you see the guy the next day at your dental appointment when he tells you to say ahh. yeah buddy real hard core. everybody should respect there brother,

P.S. DON'T BE A SQUID, you make it harder for the group, all tucked in behind the bubble going 45 mph. stupid squid

I have seen people absolutely turn their noses up at me and my Maxim. But these are the guys that will only ride a few weeks out of the year, but I will salute ANYONE who isn't riding in a cage.

I agree with you on that. I went to Silverhill to the car show and then on down to a friends condo in Gulf Shores. Bikes were out in force for sure. Unfortunately all the caged traffic makes it bad for all of us. I barely made home to Daphne around 6:15pm before the monsoon let loose. I did get a little wet coming up 181 but not to bad. cheers
