Bikers for Boobs - Confirmed - 5/23/10

Last night, the lady from Leather Locker handed out a flier for some sort of booby run for charity. The flier was in my pocket and got soaked, so it is no longer legible. Anyway, I think it is on Sunday. If anyone has any info on it, post it up.

It is called Biker for Boobs. It is for breast cancer awareness. I am not sure of the start time but it is a poker run and will start and end at Boondocks Bar and Grill on Airport Blvd 1/2 mile past Snow Rd.

Some of our church members are going to ride in it so I cut and pasted from their boards!

5TH ANNUAL BIKERS FOR BOOBS OF LOWER ALABAMA BENEFIT AND POKER RUN will be held from noon – 4 p.m. May 23 at Boondocks Bar & Grill, 10210 Airport Blvd. in Mobile. All modes of transportation are welcome and no alcohol will be served until noon. This will be a rain or shine event. The cost of admission is $20 per hand, which includes an event T-shirt, and late lunch. Proceeds will go to Victory Health Partners and other local charities for the detection, prevention, research and education of breast cancer. Pre-registration will be held Saturday, May 22 at Boondocks. On the day of the event, registration will begin at 11 a.m. followed by all designated stops, which include Blues Tavern, Mary’s and Burnouts. A raffle and both live and silent auctions will also be held and live music by the John Hall Trio. Donations for the raffle and auctions are desperately needed. Okay, I called, here is the official schedule according to Boondocks:

11a m registration at Boondocks Bar & Grill.
12 - 4pm for the run which starts and ends at Boondocks Bar & Grill.
$20 per hand for the ride, a t-shirt, and a late lunch.
4pm there will be both a silent and a live auction to be held at Boondocks Bar & Grill.

OK. I finished it. Now, who is going to the poker run? I realy dont have the money but will make it happen if someone wants to meet up and ride.

OR. If anyone wants to ride somewhere other than the poker run, I'm up for that also. I know yellawd and i will be riding somewhere. Maybe take hwy 90 to 59 and then to gulf shores. Then maybe over to P'cola and come back on hwy 90.

If anyone has an idea. I'm open.

I'm thinking around noon. Some have church in the morning. I'm about half way between the airport and Boondocks. We can meet there or somewhere near you. Just let me know what's good for you.

Where did you turn off at? I turned around and you were gone. It was a great ride. I just hope we didn't wear you out too bad. There was a lot of scenery to look at over there too. Just let me know when you're ready to go again. Next weekend I will be busy movin a friend. So after this weekend I will be good.
