Working on a New Weekly Bike Night Empty Working on a New Weekly Bike Night

Post by Phantom Mon Jul 12, 2010 8:39 am

I am working on a weekly bike night. Probably going to be on Thursdays. The restaurant is brand new and is called "Middle Bay Restaurant". It is located on highway 98, just South of Fairhope before the 4 lane turns to 2 lanes across from the Polo fields. The Owner is one of my dad's best friends. Heck, half of the decorations in the place belong to my dad. He also built the bar. The wifey and I ate there last night and it was pretty good. It has a nice parking area out front for the bikes. It has a big deck out back and eventually they will put in some new parking in the back for the bikes. Is this something you guys would attend?

My schedule has been so crazy that it would hard for me to commit to every week. But I'd definately ride out when I'm able.

I could do every other week as I work rotating 12's until I get a new job! I think it would be kinda cool.

I'm thinking bi-weekly. Also depends on what time it will take place. Everyone wants to do all these things on the other side of the bay. Yet some of us are in mobile and work till at least 6.If it started at 7 it would be tough but I could still make it.

Well, during the week, I am off at seven, not home till around 745, then shower etc and get there. So I wont be able to hit up any weeknight things till 830 or later. Sundays and Tuesdays I may be able to attend some stuff.

i've seen quite a few bikes up there before, but never noticed any pattern; i was at the drive-thru the other night and asked if they were going to have another and when and was told the next is this thursday night

Hmm.. It seems like for a bike night to work every week there would need to be more going on than just standing around BSing. I don't know what the answer is.. Without getting the cops called to that location. study

I'm pretty surprised that the Hooter's in Daphne does not have one. Nearly all of em have one. We used to go to one in Alexandria La. at Eddies BBQ (some of THE best BBQ ever served, btw, I am suffering withdrawals from there ) They had one once a month with live music and a different food special every time.

Eastern Shore Harley helps with the one at Sonic in Mobile by giving away stuff there, I think they should be doing that on this side as well...

Some invite vendors to their bike nights, ummmm...some have special guests, stunt riders,etc....

Dunno...will think of more ideas later.
