Bay Minette Newb
Heys... Fairly new to riding at only 1.5 years.
Most of my riding is on country roads around here... I ride just for the thrill of it.
I think I'm a bit of an oddball as far as motorcyclist go.... I don't care so much what the thing looks like, I just want to ride
Software Developer for employment.. enjoy fishing, brewing beer, beekeeping as hobbies and spend way too much damned time working on our old house.
Have a '92 Venture Royale as my 1st real bike.. stupid cheap on ebay.
Retired cop bike from Millbrook or Montgomery, not sure which.. it has a bunch of little issue I'm working out, as you would expect from being a working bike with 88'000 miles The worst is what you'd expect on an old bike with so much plastic is cracks here and there in panels/fairing.. I can't decide if I want to fix it up more or just get something else, I really like the styling on the 1st gens.
Just picked up a Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 a couple weeks ago and working on some cosmetic things with it.
It is going to be my wife's bike eventually, but she is still learning it. We take it to the schools on the weekend and let her ride around slow getting used to slow speed stuff. Need to get her in the MSF class in Daphne.
I'm enjoying reading the forum, I just discovered and have been lurking about a week.

Re: Bay Minette Newb
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I think the motorcycle police thingy was a trial basis in Millbrook I am not real sure, the fellow I bought it from had bought a few of them from the city at an Auction. It had sat outside for a few years and didn't run consistently. Replaced the Computer with an electronic one from Russia, rebuilt the carbs, new clutch, etc and it was back on the road. I am fighting a bad oil leak on one of the fork seals in the front , gonna start working on that tonight I suppose. I've replaced the seals a couple of times now and found a scratch on the fork last time.. Tried filling it with JB Weld and smoothing it out, but I think the seal was damaged from the scratch, so going to try it one more time.. if this doesn't get it I will set the damned thing on fire It looks better in that pic than it does in person, I need to paint it.

Bets to stick to the English language around here...use small single syllable words if possible!
