Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom
This is something everyone must do once in their life. This year there will also be a special event to honor all the WWII vets at the World War II memorial. There is a special on-going effort to bring as many of these vets to DC this weekend. It is a large undertaking and there is information on the web if you are interested in helping.
Information for the 24th Run to the Wall is here Rolling Thunder Chapter1. Or you just meet them on the 29th in the Pentagon's parking lot and get in formation behind Rolling Thunder at around 0800 hours. You do not have to be a member of Rolling Thunder to Ride, and there is usually around 4,000 bikes.
If you can't go this year, make plans for next. I was there with Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 Ohio in 2004, It's well worth the trip to DC.
