sweet scoot man. My fatboy was the same way when I got it. Bone stock with a set of V&H pipes. A year later and it is now what you see in my sig. Next thing is custom paint.

Nice King.... I see new wheels, 21" up front, 16" apes, on and on..... I love to spend other people's money.

Remember, ebay is your friend. Most everything I put on mine came off ebay.

My bike looks nothing like it did the day I brought it home. To me... that's half the fun.

Just be carefull with the wiring. It is a fairly easy swap. But the wires can be damaged easily.

Got my new bars ordered - even found a wiring extension kit for the Road King for 12" bars - so I got that too!
everything is looking good now - just as soon as that stuff gets here

Did you order new cables and brake hose? You will need them with 12" bars.

I think the cables will work - they measured long enough - looks liek the previous owner had different bars on it and slapped the beachbars on it when he traded it in.
I am a little worried about the brake line - will know more when I get a sec to check things out under the headlight shroud and handlebar cover.

From looking at your pics, the clutch cable, throttle and idle cable's, and the brake hose will all have to be changed. I measured mine before the swap and they all seemed good. But once I installed the bar's it all went haywire. I hade to wait another week to get everything else.
If you install the new bars, and then hold the old bars up with everything connected, you will be able to tell if it will work or not without taking everthing off the old bars. Then you can put the old bars back on and order what you need without being down for a week. Just my opinion.
Hope this helps out a little.

Way sweet ride. Looks like you could hide the bodies in your bags there.
