New to the forum
Hi everyone.
My name is Dave and I'm in Mobile. I currently ride and customize a Suzuki C50 and a UM 650 sportbike. I am building a chopper from scratch in my spare time too.
Dragon told me to drop by here. (blame him)

Re: New to the forum
pics... that may be awhile. I am working a deal to trade both the C50 and the sportbike for a Road King.
hmm - lets see if I have this right...
the chopper project is getting a new frame this weekend (hopefully) - I'll post pictures after that...

Dude the c50 is clean. UM 650... Is it one of those Hyosung sv650 clones? I hear good things about them. Can't wait for the chop job pics.

Re: New to the forum
If I'm correct it is a sv650 clone of sorts, but American I believe. UM is "United Motors" I believe. I could be way off though.

Re: New to the forum
That is correct. sv650 parts will not fit the UM's. They look the same but are way different. A co-worker had the sv650 and had a problem with it. He took it to a shop to have it repaired under warranty and it turned out they were the UM authorized repair company.

Re: New to the forum
The UM 650 - it is a Hyosung badged as a United Motors. UM went bankrupt this year. I posted pics of teh scratch built chopper in the Chopper section on here. pics suck, but the bike is cool
The UM is a good bike - i very much enjoyed it. I did my iron butt ride on it last year and it did perfectly. But the C50 is always my daily driver and touring bike - hahah. touring bike without bags or fenders...
but now I have a Road King Custom - my first harley - trying to figure it out and get comfy with it.
