My Baby Is Sick.
Well, I had to put my baby in the shop. Need's a new ignition switch, transmission seal's, and the fuel guage is screwed up. Glad I still have some warranty left on it. I sure don't want to fix all that myself. The switch and fuel guage I could do. Heck, I can do the tranny seal. But it sure is alot of work. O'well, only supposed to be about ten days. I guess I can make it.

Yea. Mobile Bay H-D is doing the work. I bought it from them and it still has about a year warranty left on it. So I just let them fix it.

They must be slammed these days. Ten days is a pretty long time for that kind of stuff. Sorry to hear it.
Re: My Baby Is Sick.
The only reason it will take 10 day's is the ignition switch. It has to be ordered for the key to match. It takes 5-10 days for them to get it in.

Hey Seibert,
Could you imagine if the ignition went out when we were in Gulf Shores? That's a long way to be pushing a scoot.

Re: My Baby Is Sick.
I've had mine for a year and this is the first time it has been in the shop. I have had really good luck with mine. No problems with rain or anything else. Little thing's like a brake light switch, and the horn quite working. But that was simple fixes.nickestes wrote:I had a dyna for a little while, not to bash the HD but best thing I did was sell it. always leaving me out, it didnt like rain either so I couldnt ride it back and forth from the plant while I was working. I think I have heard it all. No matter what I have owned in the past, I have heard it. I still do it at work. If you drive a chevy, then thats the problem. If you own a ford, then you should have bought a chevy. It's all fun and game's till someone cries. Then it's just fun.

Re: My Baby Is Sick.
I really (hd rules) dont have a (hd rules) preference. I have (hd rules) owned quite a few (hd rules) different bikes (hd rules) in my time. I do (hd rules) enjoy my Harley (hd rules) because I have (hd rules) worked my azz (hd rules) off to afford something (hd rules) that I have wanted (hd rules) for many years. Will I buy (hd rules) another? Cant answer (hd rules) that till the time comes.
Did I mention HD Rules?

Re: My Baby Is Sick.
two points, all bashing aside the hd's I see here all look great, and it sounds like yall ride em alot. thats usually my main beef with most hd owners, they dont want to ride because they spent mon-fri polishing the thing, and heaven for bid it be cloudy. I like you guys I was bragging about the place all week, about the trips I have seen some of yall make. I cant wait to meet you guys and let us throw down some miles

Re: My Baby Is Sick.
I hate even talking about the Harley vs every other make of motorcycle. Ride whatever makes you happy. I have 2 Harleys in the shed and my wife and I love to ride them. I think I enjoy wrenching on them and changing them up almost as much. Heck, our wedding and honeymoon even revolved around the bikes.
