The baffles in my Cobra pipes where hacked.. I could not get them out and they were sounding like crap. I looked into some shot gun drag pipes, but they were like $300.. I decided to try and make my own.. I figured I could not make it sound worse.

But I did.. I installed some baffles and wrapped them with header wrap.. They sounded like s*it and it ran down the road not so good. Thats the first start on the video.. The second start is with no baffles.. It sounds better.. Hard to tell it on the video, but its got a deeper sound.. It runs better too. Still not 100% happy with the sound, but I think I can live with it for a while.
My forearms are all itchy from this header wrap crap.

Very nice. What size pipe did you use? If you have the baffles out you mat want to put them back in without the wrapping on them. Just play around with the back pressure a little to see if she will run any better. And great job on the pipe build. cheers

Thanks Hayweed. The pipe is 1.75" until the very end and I stepped it up to 2" so I could use the chrome tips.. I might play around with the baffles more later.. I am going to run it like it is for a while and see how it goes.. I will check the plugs after a 100 miles or so and see what they look like.

This thing has 4 spark plugs.... confused

They have 2 intake and 2 exhaust plugs. Don't ask. I couldn't explain it if I tried. But it won't run right if you leave the exhaust plugs unhooked. Ford had a 2.3l 4cyl that had 8 plugs in it. And if the coil went bad on one side it ran like crap.

I owned one of those, it was a mustang convertible....and imagine my surprise the first time I went to change the plugs ....lol
