Hell yeah! Love the Norton! You're over in orange beach and I'm in gulf shores. I'm big into old motorcycles... got like 4 1/2 in the garage right now! I've got tons of parts for the cb350. I've got a mostly complete but rough 68 cb350 and a spare motor and carbs so if ya need anything let me know! Welcome to the forum.

Hmmm... I've got one on the 68. It's old and cruddy, but i think it's good. It's white. If you want it just come get it! Not sure it'll work with your bike though. Yours looks like a later model. I'll try to get a pic of the cable and post it up so we can be sure it will work before you come get it!
What model is your Norton? (Did I mention I freakin love Nortons?)

The cb350 is a 72 mfg date but has a front disc that was added to 74 mods.
The Norton is a 71 roadster. Paid too much for it but...you don't see em around here too often and I always wanted one. It is ready to go back togather but on hold till I get the honda finished. Short own work space.

I understand! I've got 4 projects lined up behind my cafe racer! But doing one at a time creates such a mess that I'm sure stuff would get "misplaced" if I were working on more than one at the time.

Yes, don't mix projects in a garage. Been there done that, not pretty. Wink

I rode the cb350 for the first time yesterday. Had to run with no clutch since it's plates are stuck. All the gears work. Real rough on the low end so far then the right carb quit. Did some speed jerking but still didn't get that clutch loose. Gotta bust those carbs back down again....shoulda known a half-azz cleaning wouldn't cut it Sad
Working on the headlight now. It is a Model T Ford Speedster headlight. Comverting it to H4 (55w). I clamped it own for a preview and it's gonna be sweet.

Pull the clutch lever in and tie it with a piece of string. Leave it like that for a day or two and see if the plates will free up. If not, you will have to pull the clutch basket out and pull it apart to free it up.

I have had it that way for a week with no luck. Didn't know it was stuck till after it was painted...one of the plights of flat black - it don't like oil. See clutch lever in upper pict.

It's hard to see but there is a junction box on the left that the wires are going into. All will be made up in it rather than the hdlite. Light sw will be on the box cover since there's not one on the lefthand control.

It's done. Having carb trouble. Just can't get that Rt carb to work. I think there must be a corrosion hole in the Hi spd jet passage or something. It was in the weather at Bay Minette for 25 years.
It stays lean on Hi spd no matter what I do. Idles ok. Thought I might try to find another body but haven't been able to work on it lately. The Norton is still completely apart. Too many HoneyDooz of late . Evil or Very Mad

What kind of carburetor is it? I have a box of old carburetors and if I have the same one as yours you can have it Brother if it will help.

It is a kehein 722a CV type. Need the right side carb. It has the choke connection point on the left as you face the inlet. The axle end of it is "D" shaped. They had a V shaped tin linkage with setscrews between the two carbs to link the choke shafts and operated from the left side carb. 722a should be stamped on it somewhere. BTW the front forks sure are stiff for 10W oil. Book said 4-6 oz each.....?
I sealed the Norton's fiberglass tank with KBS tank sealer. It dried with an epoxy looking silver finish. When I ever reach the point I can put gas in it I will report on how well it holds up. It is about half of what Caswell's costs so should be interesting.
