Bikers for boobs

Biker for boobs poker run this Sunday. 5/19/13 at boondocks. I will be there. Who else. Registration at 11. First bike out at 12.

To early for me, will still be at church. Sunday rides gotta start later for me.

What a day. Left boondocks for the poker run and my ignition switch decides to stop working. Five minutes into the ride and had to turn around and go home.

That sucks bad!!!

Yeah. Now I have to figure out what went wrong. Not sure if its the switch or not. Prolly look at it Thursday when I'm off.

You're talking about the on-off switch on the handle bar?

Well. Mine is on the tank. But yes.

Oh, that one. Sounds unusual. I had to replace my rear sprocket bearing at 28k miles. It went out on my way back from Bike Week, but didn't know it had disintegrated until I got home. Luckily nothing was damaged. Easy fix too.

I'm talking about the "key" switch. And it is very comon for them to go bad. I just have to find time to check it. It's been down since September when I dropped it. Not much damage but I needed to do some maintenance on it also. First good ride since getting it done and now this.

Ok. So now I feel stupid. Finally brought home a test light and checked everything out. Turns out I'm blinder than I thought. Cause I pulled the fuses and all looked good. Checked with the test light and found a bad one.

One thing I have learned over the years as a mechanic on all types of vehicles, look of fuses will lie. Be sure, the test light can lie if you aren't paying real good attention, too. Glad you found the problem.

Yeah. I have been turning wrenches for over 25 yrs. I still can't believe I missed that one. When I pulled it out at home there was no doubt it was blown. I'm thinking I pulled the wrong fuse the first time.
