Surgery.....

Had some worrisome things happen betweem christmas and new years so had an MRI done on my right knee Fri. Results this morning were what I feared...torn medial meniscus. Soooo...the Dr surprises me with "we can do this in the morning". Really? Ummmm....o.....k.....

Soooooo...at 8:30 in the morning, I'm having knee surgery. I've been here before less than 2 yrs ago with my other knee. If you're of a mind, a prayer would be nice. If you're not, some positive vibes would be awesome too. I'll pop in tomorrow afternoon once I'm home and settled.

I tore my MCL, but it didn't require surgery. Now everytime it gets cold my knee hurts like hell.

Surgery went well. Am home, all propped up and have ice on. Just a matter of time now. *sigh*

I haven't even turned my tv on yet... I watch very little which is why I only have a digital antenna...Not going to pay for something I don't use.

6 hrs of decent sleep and just took my 1st pain pill since 9 last night. So far, so good!

I took an hour+ nap earlier then got up took a bath and washed my hair. I feel human again! Yay me!

The going is very slow. I'm having wind withdrawals already. lol. I'm trying very hard not to over do. Sitting still isn't something I do well.

Sorry been out and just heard the news. Hopemyour recovery is going well. At least its winter time and not spring, fall, or summer.

Thank you and this is true but we've also had 70*+ temps in Jan that would've been nice to enjoy too. lol

The healing seems slow but it's coming along. Lots of naps broken up by lots of boredom.

I can come over and play video games and cut up and make lots of noise so you cant take so many naps and therefore you wont be so bored . I'm just saying LMAO!!!!

I don't own any video games tho I suspect you'd bring your own. lol

How is the recovery coming? cabin fever and the lack of wind therapy getting to you? put a fan in front of your bike grap a liquid pain drink and sit on your bike with the fan on high for a while..not the same but close your eyes and let your mind wander.

Lack of wind and cabin fever are definitely getting to me!!! The recovery is slow but the progress is steady. Starting to amble about without the crutches a bit more each day. It's a balancing act for sure...
