2 Night Get away.

We are trying to plan a weekend get away to get out and ride. Anyone have any suggestions. We've never been able to get away till now. like to ride a few hours find a place to stay with stuff to do and ride a while then return back to the room. Any ideas would be greatful

We made a nice three day ride to Cheaha. It is also in the state tag game. Very beautiful this time of year. We rode to Prattville and got a room. Rode to cheaha and back the next day. Returned home on the third day. Great ride.

Was Pratville a nice place to stay?

It's ok. Hotel was nice. But it was just a place to lay my head.

Ok glad to hear. That's all we're looking for just a place to rest. Happen to remember the name of motel? If not it shouldn't be hard to find.

There's some nice motels here in Prattville , I 'spose , never stayed in any of them tho'

What about wetumpka? wife wanted to get a bit closer ?

Well if you are going to Cheaha , then that one is out of the way , it's eleven miles out I85 towards Atlanta ..

Second Prattville exit ( 181 ) has several right off the exit , between dirt cheep and real spendy ..

Prattville is to the left , no motels to the right

Are you going via Interstate, or are you taking the backroads up?

I did say originally I'd avoid Montgomery all together, but it is in the middle, and Wetumpka doesn't have much for Hotels except a Key West inn and sort of a no-tell motel that you're wife wouldn't appreciate.

We will be taking the back roads up.
Think the wife ended up reserving a room in prattville.

Deals gap. I rode up and hit the gap and several others, Spent the night then meandered back on sideroads. Was back the next night by 10 pm.

Ran by there on the way home yesteday from Dalton



I didn't much care for Hwy 9 from Cheaha to Wetumpka , it was slooooow and I was in a hurry
