T.S. / Hurricane Isaac...
For anyone who is expected to fall into the path of this storm, please stay safe, be prepared, and take any and all precautions that you can to endure its aftermath.
this storm will pretty much affect all of Alabama and western Florida, Georgia, and good parts of New Orleans and Mississippi

I don't know about over in fl but we have had some strong winds and rain come through west mobile. Feeder bands are pretty strong. Nothing too bad. We'll see what tonight brings. Still won't be that bad around here.

Same here, feeder bands with good wind and some strong gusts nothing like they had forecast, which is a good thing. my daughter lives in fairhope and they are getting good wind gusts coming across the bay. Hope it keeps going west to the new dry lands along the mighty missiy- river it needs the water.

Has anyone else got that text with the emergency broadcast announcer saying get out? There is a lot more to it.... Funniest thing I have heard in a while.

My wife played it for me, but I can't find it. It sounds like an official weather warning, but it says "get your 12 kids out of that FEMA trailer you've been living in for 7 years & fing leave now!"

They should be ok. It hasn't been that bad. Hope they're not getting flooded though.

Re: T.S. / Hurricane Isaac...
The flooding is what most of them had last time that did the most damage. my house was on a rise and had water up to the doors while my next door friends had up to 4 foot in 2005.

I'm north of the intercoastal and we've got no flooding issues. The closer you get ot the beach the more flooding of course. pic of standing water across 59 near beach.https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/399766_10151120582696738_249433462_n.jpg

I'm off C.R.4 and we got strong enough wind gusts to pull some of my aluminum Fascia trim off my house. Power was off and on all night.

For the most part our of the coast fla thru al came out pretty good just hope the rest of the season goes as well for us. Glad to hear you had very limited damage and kept your power most of the time. My daughter in Fairhope is still getting pounded with rain and winds.
