Honda won't start.
I went to start my Honda Shadow VLX Deluxe 600 the other morning, it seemed week and didn't start, pulled it back into the shed to charge the battery. When I was pulling the Neg, line off it had already loosened. So I tightened it up and tried it, all the lights were weak, so I thought all I needed to do was charge battery, but no. Fully charged battery installed, turn key on and no idiot lights or anything happened. Exchanged battery, still nothing. Checked all fuses and the 30 Amp fuse, all were good. No idea what to look at right now. Looking for some incite.

Check the ground at the engine, it may be corroded.

Cleaned the ground, it wasn't too bad, and then the battery leads. No joy.

Re: Honda won't start.
Check for 12 volts at the key swicth. You should also check it with the key on to see if there is a voltage drop. Do you have headlight or running lights? Definately sounds like a bad connection. You had dim lights at first and now you dont have any? doesnt sound right to me. Check it with a volt meter and let me know what you come up with...

Re: Honda won't start.
Put the meter on it and nothing at all, followed the wires and found it disconnected. Reconnected it, tie-wrapped it and it started right up. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Hayweed, I was going in a totally different direction. Thanks.
