My ride yesterday....

Me and 2 buds took off a little after 7 yesterday morning and took the back roads to Montgomery to Hank Williams grave. What an awesome cemetery! The oldest born date we saw was 1728. Lots of civil war era stones. We took a leisurely pace....and ended the day with 428 miles as of 8:30 last night.

That is great. Glad you could find some riding partners on such a beautifull weekday.

I do know a few of my friends are planning a run to Florala to see one of the 13 Ghosts of AL sites soon-ish. As the details get set, I'll let y'all know!

Monday the 20th (Presidents Day) me and a fellow gov't empl are planning a run to MS for lunch...probably The Shed. Will be determined by how cold it is.

Wow I forgot which of the 13 ghosts is in Florala. Another of the 13 ghosts is an ancestor of mine. His name is Gunther Harrison.

Have fun going to the Shed, the one in MS is always a good meal.

29 most of the way and going back we took 21 to 10 to Evergreen and picked up 31 there. Wonderful roads and some sweet curves and beautiful areas.

I ate at The Shed in MS for the first time last Sunday. I looooove BBQ and especially the GOOD stuff! Their pulled pork was like eating cotton candy it was so tender. The ribs were really good too.

Actually coming up 31 , Montgomery is on one side of the river and Prattville is on the other side ..

You are far closer than I thought. That was an awesome ride up thru there.

I'm waiting on a riding buddy of mine and his daughter to finish a cold air test ride. She has to go back to Tuscaloosa today and we would ride half way or so with her. Brrrr.....this could be interesting. It did finally make it into the 40's.

Okay Miss G did you burn down the Shed!!!! . But seriously It did burn this morning now I'll have to wait till they rebuild.

No. I didn't even go that way...and I just heard. At least I got to go before that happened. There's one in Mobile....guess I'll go try it sometime...

Today I rode 227 miles in the freezing @$$ cold.... Haven't stopped smiling...or wishing I'd thaw.

I'm jealous, I didn't even get to look at my bike this week end

It was seriously stupid but seriously fun. Lol. It was kinda nice to see I still have some "tough" left in me.
