1981 LTD KZ440 stator
Does anyone know what the output for the stator on the 1981 LTD KZ440 should be?

I've been searching, but no luck so far. The output I am getting on this thing is just over 16v ac. Not for sure but I think it's low.

I would think at Idea it would be about right and it shouldn't go over 35 volts revved. can you check the output after the regulator? I'll see If I can find anything tomorrow at lunch

Didn't get a chance to do a thing today that was fun, It should be around 13 or 14 after the regulator. 12.7 shouldn't be insufficient. check the site Dragon give you.

Had a frayed wire, and on top of that the starter had a dead short. She's actually my little bros bike. It's his first. Here's a couple of pics from a few months ago, it has had the engine blacked out and the exhaust chopped since this.

To me what was unique about the 440 was mine was belt drive. something ahead of its time for sure back then.

Re: 1981 LTD KZ440 stator
I'm missing my bike now im going thru withdrawals. I knew a guy that had a KZ 440 and he rode that bike all over but that was several years ago, but I will confess that I wanna ride that bike to see for myself how smooth that bike rides being that it has belt drive.

This one is chain drive. I looked at a belt conversion for it but bro doesn't have the cash for it and neither do I so....
