Aligning the frontend
I replaced the forks on my wife's bike and it is very slightly out of alignment.. I know to loosen the triple tree and wiggle it over, just wondering is there a trick to this like taking measurements from the 2 sides and comparing them to get the alignment perfect?

Adjust, ride, repeat. That's how I do it. If It's very slight I usually put the tire against a wall and tweak it without loosening it. Works every time.

Mines been about a 1/4" out since I got that thing, Everyone keeps telling me it's strait. I guess I'l have to fix it one day. I still get about 23,000 on a front tire

Re: Aligning the frontend
Really old school trick: Go find one of those industrial fluorescent light bulbs that are like 10 feet long and lay it alongside both tires. However, I have been told lately that some newer models are actually offset, not in a straight line like usual.
Short way: Listen to Hayweed.

Thanks Dragon, dummy me didn't even think of using a straight-edge that was the trick. I actually had some giant-ass flourescents in my garage (aquariam stuff that never got used, but I used a straight 2x4 instead, worked great)

Re: Aligning the frontend
Just glad to help.
Just be careful with 2 X 4's. Not many are really straight. I got this tip from an ol coot rider way back years ago. Flourescents are perfectly straight.
Am also told you can use two people and a string in a pinch.
