Ghosty's chop project. Empty Chopper build

Post by Ghostrider Sun Oct 23, 2011 6:00 pm

WB, thanks for posting these for me and Dragon well yeah the frame does look kind of wild at this point but believe me what you see in the picture is going to change a lot. These were taken just as we started to cutting the frame which by the way is tagged at the DMV as a 1971 Ironhead Sporty frame and thats where it all changes. Everything going on the bike is 100 % Harley including the Springer frontend which came off of a Sportster. The ironhead is sitting in the corner and the heartbeat for this one will be a 88cc stroked out to a 96 with all Lunati forged internals, special built heads, a 515 lift cam and a few other hidden goodies (supposed to be a beast). Been working on this bitch for a good while now but she is about to come to life, and the paint is going to be Pearl white (Ghost remember LOL) with a good bit of military history hidden in the paint to honor my Brothers everywhere. Can't wait until I can twist that throttle and hear her scream, like I told WB I may even trip it down that way for the weekend after she is finished. Anyway thats what she is and is going to be, just keeping my fingers and toes crossed everything works right.

Sounds good overall. Very Happy

On the Pearl white.....I sprayed a Honda chopper I had that way. In bright sunlight it blinded me for real. So I pulled it back in and shot it with about 4 coats of clear and put prism metalflake in it to tone it down some.

Ya get her all together get with me...we can find out how much of a beast she is..... Twisted Evil

Dragon, I'm leaving the painting stuff up to a Brother of mine (don't know s*it about paint other than I can make one hell of a mess with it LOL). I hope it will be finished before long and like said I may try to shoot down that way, got a couple of Brothers down near there that I have not seen in a while so it would be a good trip.
