Engine guard
The highway pegs on my bike right now must've been intended for someone much shorter than me. I would prefer my legs be a bit straighter. I am considering putting an engine guard on and adding pegs. I have an '07 Street Bob. If anyone has one for sale or can recommend where best to look for one, I'd really appreciate your input. Oh, my bike has mid controls.

dennis kirk has some great deals too.
usually find some good stuff in the Scratch and Dent section. most times they are just factory blemishes...

Re: Engine guard
Go see Chris at The Leather Locker across from the Harley shop on Pleasant Valley. Better prices than J&P. GREAT people too. I buy almost all of my parts there.

Re: Engine guard
Another place you may want to check is H&D Cycles over in Lillian off 98. If they don't have it I am sure they can recommend something for you. Great people over there...family run business.
Re: Engine guard
you can check out debrix.com as well really good prices.only downfall is that it takes forever to get your order from them.

Re: Engine guard
Found some on ebay but can't tell if they'd fit. I really like the way they look. $200 incl shipping. Not a huge rush since I won't be riding much between now and April.

Re: Engine guard
I found these for your bike. I know the last one will fit. It is the same one that I got for another member.

Re: Engine guard
No, not yet. Either the prices have been too high or the shape was all wrong.

Re: Engine guard
Miss G,
I have seen some people put the pegs up on the on frame in front of the engine like is done on the Low Rider. That is pretty inexpensive because all you need is some pegs and brackets. The mounts should already be there.

Re: Engine guard
I have a set of pegs that are frame mounted. I think they need to be adjusted a bit forward. Either the previous owner had them there for looks or he/she was really short. When I stretch my legs out, I can rest the back of my ankle on them. Plus my leg is right against the breather cover. I wish they were out farther.
But I'm in no rush because channeling cold air up my pants legs is a bit too invigorating for me right now.
