Haven't been around much lately...

Some here would rather not read about personal issues on this forum. And I had no desire to put any sort of gloom down during the holidays either. Some have noticed me being around less, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such awesome friends in sending PM's to me and being supportive.

But for the rest of Y'all, whom I love no less I thought it best I at least gave a short explanation rather than have anyone think I just lost interest, ran away, etc etc.

Still no job. None to be had around here regardless of how many I apply to and that has been a lot, daily. Selling the Night Train was a shot in the arm, but that hasn't lasted long and not much longer, maybe another month. So obviously I haven't been motivated to run amok like my usual self. And even moreso now, as a new money worry has slithered in the door, forcing me to make yet another heartbreaking decision. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

I hope for all yall that this year brings great turnarounds in anything you are seeking and that it all comes quickly. I know a great many are suffering just as much if not more than we are. May this be the best year you have ever had. Right now I am mentally, emotionally and physically sick to be much good company.

Dragon.... I'm sorry to hear this. We just went into a hiring freeze. Things suck all over (job wise). Wish you the best.

Dragon, for whatever it's worth, the Post Office is always trying to find subs. It's not full time work and it's not consistent but the pay per hour when you do work is pretty darned good. $18+/hr. Go and see about applying to be an RCA rural carrier associate. Just a thought.

Hate to see you have to sell your beautiful Bella. Fingers crossed and prayers sent for ya man.

Just so you know, I am as sick about this decision as he is. I also submit multiple resumes daily to anything I even think I can handle. I have my name in multiple Temp agencies, what ever I can think of.

If anyone knows of anyone looking for an Office Assistant, Secretary. you name it. Let me know. As one Temp lady told me, if we had to write everything we knew how to do by the time we reach our age. We'd be writing a book.

Man, this hurts me to see....not just that your selling Bella, but that good honest hard working people are struggling to make ends meet. I am sorry for you guys and wish you both the best. If I hear of any opening I will send word your way. Best of luck to you and I really hope something turns up before you have to part with Bella!

Dragon if it may help at all i do know that goodrich in foley is trying to hire something like 40 people.also for eather you or edera my wife just informed me that publix in the surrounding area is hiring as well and they open a new store like every 3 months.hope this helps

Thanks everyone, its well appreciated. I interviewed with Publix, no followup. She applied, never even got called. I will check with goodrich, thanks for the tip.

Brother Dragon and Sister Edera I am very sorry to hear you are still having a hard time with work. A lot of people over here are having a hard time finding work as well. I know its not close by, but RYLA in Saraland is hiring, or so their sign out front says. I know nothing about what all they do, but its the old Walmart/Hertz car building and its inside work. They have a website...says hiring 150 in Saraland.

Funny I just filled out the on line for RyYLA again. I've been in Customer Service for over 30 years. And the application says I don't qualify or meet their standards. No wonder they need 150 people.
