NRA Firearms Instructor Empty NRA Firearms Instructor

Hey everyone,

I don't try to make a living with this, but it is a hobby of mine to teach firearms instruction. In particular I teach handgun safety and shooting with either NRA training or custom private instruction.

Mostly I do one on one training at a private shooting club range, but also have done classes up to 8 people.

So if you want to learn what is becoming a "lost art" I can help you. Ironically, 80% of the people I train are women so I have a lot of experience with people that have never handled a firearm before. I can also assist in helping answer questions about purchasing a firearm with unbiased answers (I do not sell firearms nor am I a dealer).

Be safe.

On this forum daily and this is the first time I have seen this thread. How much do you charge for some instruction?

NRA Pistol 1st Steps - $70 includes range fee. This is individual 1 on 1 training and is very comprehensive with the fundamentals of shooting (stance, grip, sight picture, hold control, etc..) , storage, and maintenance with your pistol. 3-4 hours. This training is done at the range.

NRA Basic Pistol - This is a basic pistol course over all types of handguns from revolvers to automatics. This is best for a classroom for real beginners with a short range portion at the end of the class. (6-8 hrs).

I also do non-NRA defensive training for more advanced shooters.

Thanks. May give you a shout at some point. Me, my brother and a buddy were tossing around the idea of getting some training. The only training I have involves shooting the fruit on my fruit trees.
