Motorcycle TV Shows...
Alright, who watches them? I'll admit... I have seen all the episodes of Sons of Anarchy on FX. It starts back up on Sept 7th at 9pm and I am looking forward to it. Also, I do watch and have seen most of the episodes of American Chopper. The drama was a little over the top, but some of the bikes were just incredible. American Chopper starts up with a new twist (Senior vs. Junior) on Thursday, August 12 at 8pm. Some of the biker gang shows (1%ers) on Discovery Channel were interesting as well. What shows do you watch?
Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
Never have watched SOA period
Watch them Teuttles whenever I happen to catch them , but dont go looking for them
There have been a few documentary type programs on Daytona and Sturgis , but they are made for TV and I can see the stoopidity in them ..
They are made for peeeps who dont ride ..
When I was a teenager did watch "Then Came Bronson" with Michael Parks

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
I have seen the documentaries. Most do have a generous amount of media hype in them. Used to watch OCC, but when Vinnie left, I saw it as the beginning of the end and the rising of the BS, so I slowly faded off of that. Hayweed just told me today they are bringing it back. Mayyybe after catching a couple of episodes I might start back their way, depending on the BS levels.
I watched every episode of SOA and am also waiting for it's return. Also have a shirt.

Jr versus SR American chopper starts 8 thursday.
I watch two wheel thunder on mondays and twist the trottle; kind of lame but it is about bikes and riding.
Missed the first few eposodes of SOA and was lost so I didnt keep up.

I've seen all the SOA shows and it's OK. Never understood why none of those guys rode an Evo, Shovel, Pan, or Knuck. Watched a good bit of the American Chopper stuff too, just to learn what I could from it. They built maybe 2 or 3 bikes I liked in the whole series, and they were mostly from Paul Sr ideas. I liked the old biker build-off shows and the shows that focused on a particular builder like Indian Larry and the guy over in Georgia...Kendall Johnson I think. I watched American Thunder a few times until I got over Michelle's twins and realized it was mostly an ad for Kuryakyn. The segment where they showed you how to "customize" your bike with their products was when I'd usually go out for a smoke. I mean c'mon....how much instruction do you need to put 4 chrome screws on? The one I liked best was the series where some dude had 30 days to build a bike at Russell Mitchell's shop (Exile Choppers I think). It absolutely convinced me I could NEVER lace a wheel without going insane.
I'll watch the Isle of Man TT races whenever it's on. I used to like the sportbike show with the black guy too, can't remember his name, but they did a bunch of stunt riding, which I think is insane but REALLY fun to watch.

I dont care for OCC, Sons of Anarchy is kinda cool sometimes. I used to watch the sportbike show with the stunting till they started doing it illegally on public street "Stealth rider' Now i think they are a joke to the motorcycle community giving us all a bad name. Now I watch the races, I like daytona bikes, But I love the super bike races.

Isle of Mann TT.......no reality or fictional drama crap...just real men with titanium balls on stupid fast bikes racing the streets of an island that has a motorcycle history so thick, you can smell it in the air!

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
I love watching SAMCRO. I grew up watching ...and this really dates me.....Then Came Bronson...many years ago. I would have killed for a Sporty like that back then. I have even watched most of those old 70's biker movies.
The best movie I have seen in many years...and they had bikes in it briefly but not really a biker movie...was that new one by Stallone... :The Expendables". That was a super guy type movie. I went out and watched it twice.

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
Anyone remember super Joe Namath when he played the biker in CC Ryder?
George Hamilton when he played Evil Kneivel way back when? Billy Jack when he shot the bad biker between the eyes and split his sunglasses?

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
THE EXPENDABLES WAS PURE GUY MOVIE!!!!!!!!! plot as deep as a piece of paper, if it wiggled, breathed or was made of metal, they shot it, blew it up, set it on fire, or a combination of the three

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
If you have Netflix check out "Cycles South" in the watch instantly section.
It's a GROOOVY 1970 documentary\comedy about 3 guys who ride from Colorado to Panama. Kind of reminded me of Endless Summer but on two wheels.

I called and bitched to them about this last week and they added showtime for free for a year for me.... enough time to watch Dexter and some other cool stuff. still not a replacement for all the FX coolness going on.

Re: Motorcycle TV Shows...
I have been in samcro withdrawal mode. I got season 1 and 2 and watched them all over again from netflix. The dvd's are kinda cool as they have a lot of deleted scenes and some extra stuff. I have season 3 on dvr....I may start watching it for the third time soon.
Ya know...another really good series currently available on netflix dvd or instant....and I never watched it when it was still on TV ...is that series 24. Super good and each season has 24 episodes. I just finished season 4 for the second time last night.
