Weekend Motorcycle Fatality


PRICHARD, Ala. (June 28, 2010) – On Sunday, June 27, 2010 at approximately 7:59 p.m., Prichard Police responded to the intersection of Highway 45 and Leeds Avenue in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.

Upon police arrival, investigators determined that 49-year-old Wayne Larry Robinson of Prichard was traveling west on Leeds Avenue, when he attempted to go right onto Highway 45 on his 2001 Suzuki 750 motorcycle. Robinson hit a curve, lost control of the motorcycle and struck a passing vehicle.

As a result of Robinson’s injuries, he died on the scene. Robinson was not wearing a helmet and preliminary findings also suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor.

that sucks to hear that a rider went down...... but the helment are mad for a reason ....... i mean we do not have much protcation as it is so we should use what we got at less we would have a better chance

Always very sad to hear a rider went down. But not wearing a helmet and speeding in a helmet law state? wtf?
