Never heard of em before. So I went looking. Seems to be a debate on whether they work or not. In this day and age of having all sorts of electronics on a bike, I would be very careful about where I located one on the ride. And the idea of a STRONG magnet close to the road makes me a little wary about picking up metal road debris ( Or Hayweeds starter ).

WikiHow sometimes has some good ideas. However I am not sure this time. Leave the bike and go push the crosswalk button? If it sticks THAT long, I am running the sucker, lol Another funny one is they say to attach a magnet to your shoe with epoxy. What happens if you stop on a steel bridge? lol!

I usually just run them as well..after 2 rounds I"m done or just melted into a blob on the ground. As I'm running the red light I am thinking of excuses to say if I ever get pulled over. I'm sure you guys have some good ones.

It depends greatly upon when I am at said and where said light is located. The light at the corner of 104 and 181 is horrible at 5:30 in the morning, I usually have to run that one. I haven't been stopped yet *knock on wood*.

Traffic signals do not work on a magnetic system. If you pull up to a light that wont change, simply put your kickstand on the ground and the sensor will pick up on it. You look like your crazy for putting your stand down at a light but it works.

They sense The metal of a cage. The more metal the better it will sense you. If you put the stand down on the ground. It will pick up on it better.

According to the Riders Safety Course I've taken, If the light won't change, and there is a car behind you, Pull over and allow him in, If that option is not available, and you can get away with it, treat it as a STOP sign, and cross with caution. I guess get away with it, is if there isn't any COP's around.

Just what I was told.
