This is being put on by a good friend of mine. One of my bestest running buddies is cooking drunk chickens. If y'all can make it, please go...it sounds like a LOT of fun and I happen to know they have some really cool prizes too.

I'm going down after work. It's a holiday weekend (Presidents Day) so I couldn't get the day off.

This event turned out to be a lot of fun. Of course the weather pretty much sucked so I gave up on the idea of riding there and just took the cage. Still had a good time. Great people, lots of prizes, super food!

Jim it was a pleasant surprise to see you and Debi there. They raised nearly $3K for these folks despite the weather. I think the jello shots helped a lot. Who knew you could put liquor in whipped cream??

Whipped cream has so many useful purposes!
I was impressed with the turn out on such a crappy day...and they did raise a huge amount of $$$ for a worthy cause.

What's a drunk chicken? Glad to hear they did good.

Basically.....you shove a full can of beer in the chickens ass when you cook it. The beer then gets sucked up the chickens ass when it is cooked.

That is more or less how it works!

You mean you don't think one can of beer is enough? I wondered about that as well....maybe they should shove a quart bottle of beer up its ass...that might do it!

That would be wasteful! Maybe it can be cooked with some 151 Rum instead of beer! An I do drink the beer as well!

Sorry to bust your bubbles, but alcohol cooks out of stuff while cooking, it is just for extra flavoring.

That was some seriously high octane whipped cream...each jello shot was like doing 2 shots!!! 3 wine coolers and 6 (I think) jello shots later.....

You could have set the cooked chickens in a pan of 151 rum!! Then that drunk chicken would have had some flavor along with extra company...
