Header Pipe
I have the left side highway bar installed.
To install the upper right side brace (brake side), it requires me to loosen the header pipe so I can get the upper bracket on the down tube.
There was a little cover for the header pipe that just slips over it and has two nuts that I thought held it in place.
I had thought that if I had taken that off then the header pipe would move.
It doesn't, that little slip thing doesn't look like it does much. Hell, it wasn't even on very tight.
How in the hell do I detach the header pipe to the front of the engine so that I can shift it a bit to put that upper bracket on?
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
By the way, I am so proud of Victory. They may be an American manufacturer, but they are metric instead of SAE.
Thanks,
Ted

Re: Header Pipe
There should be a bracket on the pipe somewhere. You will have to take it loose (or off) also. The whole pipe will have to move around. Not just the header.

Thanks a ton for your help today Crispy.
I got that s*it off.
Bug-B-Gone and my fingernail.
Took about an hour, but, there is no trace of it.
