She is already in GOD's hands. What happens is up to HIM, which we may not understand. Prayers for the family, and friends.

Not being a overly religious person
( I know there is a God and yes it's not Me)
All we can hope for is that he has a better plan for her with him than this what we call paradise could ever offer. This is the only way i can figure as a reason for what we consider a tragedy and hopefully a wonderful new beginning for her. Miss G there is no way that you can hold yourself to be blamed. there is also no way to explain why, things happen. In time all gets (hopefully) healed even though we will never understand. In January of 2004 I lost my parents and only brother in 17 days (Mom and Brother 12 hours apart on the same day) and none of the three by accident. I still try to figure out why and what i could have done different even though it was out of my hands completely. But as time passes i still cant forget about it but i just hope that they are living large together and in a better place.

PS The hardest person to forgive is our self. And usually we are the one that deserves a break because of the fact we blame our self more than anyone else.. Emotions may make this post very confusing to others reading it!! sorry and trust me everyone involved in thisare in my thoughts

Time to starting thinking of Dan, her daughter, and other close family members. Her suffering is almost over; theirs is going to intensify.

Re: RIDER DOWN -- Sunday, 3-17-13
A BIKER PRAYER
Biker Angel be my guide
As I climb upon my scoot to ride.
Let your halo guide the way and
Keep me safe from harm today.
Let your wings provide me wind and air
And send it coursing through my hair.
Find for me a sunny place and let
It shine upon my face.
Keep the clouds and rain at bay
And keep me dry throughout the day.
Watch over my brothers who ride with me
Keep them safe and close to thee.
Keep my wheels upon the ground
So I'll return here safe and sound.
But should disaster be my fate,
Guide me through to heaven's gate.
If I must join my fallen brethren,
Please show me the way to Biker Heaven.
This is borrowed from a young lady who rode this route before, our prayers go out to Michelle and her family, god bless them all.

So,So Sorry. I just saw this today. Prayers have been sent. Praying for a miracle. I can't imagine how her family and all her friends must be feeling right now.

I'm going to post this on FB, if you don't mind...
Dan says he's come to terms with all of this. I said the same thing about my husband. Profess readiness all you want, when the end comes, it's totally devastating. I'm praying she slips quickly and peacefully. I pray Dan can find peace sooner rather than later.
I spent the better part of today in Mobile at the hosp. *sigh* Didn't go back to see Michelle again as yesterday I said my goodbyes yesterday. I rode my bike over there alone. That was a challenge. Had a couple friends follow me back almost to Robertsdale....that was tough. I feel totally drained.

Re: RIDER DOWN -- Sunday, 3-17-13
well I suppose the suffering is over by now
or nearly so
some linger on for a good while after removing life support
time to uplift the family

Re: RIDER DOWN -- Sunday, 3-17-13
Yes, this was written to be passed along for times like this, for the family and surviors need more support now than ever.
I have lost very close and good friends. Myself and some very close friends still carry the scars both physical and mentally of going down hard. A couple of others had very mild / freak accidents and never lived thru it .
It is very challenging to get back on a bike after this type of event and not have questions and emotional feelings that drain your very soul , it took me three years the first time. Some of them give up and never ride again, others get more reckless; and the strong ones go forward in life, not forgetting them either.
I have also rode with you leading a the group, as said before please: don't beat yourself up or assume responsibility for the accident.

Re: RIDER DOWN -- Sunday, 3-17-13
Michelle slipped quickly from her earthly prison and earned her wings this morning. May God embrace his newest angel and her husband and young daughter (adopted their granddaughter) that had to stay behind.
I have fears and worries. I let the guilt go when I said goodbye to her Sat night. I rode my bike yesterday...mostly alone. But I rode...
Thank you so much for the support. I'm sorry I threw such a hissy fit. I know everyone has lives.

Will continue to pray for the family and friends.
Miss G, as to the hissy fit... we all deal with things like this differently. It was your way of releasing some emotions. Feel free when necessary to vent. I learned the value of venting it off the summer after 8th grade when I lost a close friend. It's never easy, especially when one feels somehow(though we know you weren't) responsible. GOD will give grace to endure.

Re: RIDER DOWN -- Sunday, 3-17-13
may she ride on the wings of angels and doves...RIP
I will pray for the family to be able top cope together through this.
no such thing as a hissy fit in a family, just different ways to ask for help and someone to listen...

I am sorry to have been away a while, and even sorrier to have discovered this thread this evening.
I don't have the words, but I will pray for Dan, their daughter, and his family. I just can't imagine.
