My family...

Just found out this week my father-in-law has lung cancer and it's quite advanced. He might have a month...who knows. This is especially hard to deal with as it's not even been 3 yrs since his son, my husband, died from lung cancer. If I'm more out than in here, please know I'll be up to my ears in family stuff and seeking wind therapy as I can.

Those of you who smoke....please give quitting some thought...

Went and spent about 15-20 mins with dad tonight.....man, he's really gone downhill over the past week. He refused the radiation treatments. Don't blame him one bit. He wants me to shave his beard and mustache off. I took off Monday so I can go do that for him.

I have seen the cancer thing... Its bad.. I am really sorry miss G.

I quit smoking 2 weeks ago. Trying to stick with it.

Much sympathy and condolences Miss G. My mother also died of lung cancer....long ago. Very difficult dealing with that...if there is anything we can do...please let us know.

Condolences to you and your family Miss G.. I watched my Mother In Law pass away due to lung cancer. It was tough watching such a nice lady succumb to cancer. If there is anything I can do for you or your family, please let me know.

My father in law is also in the same boat. On hospice with cancer. He also has smoked since he was young. A fast spreading colon cancer is what he has, so it may not be the smoking that got him. If you're over 40 get the colon checked. My father in law didn't.

I am soo sorry to hear about all of this G. You have my sincerest condolences. I have lost family to cancer as well.




And by the by, I am pushing 5 years smoke free.

Dad got moved to ICU tonight...internal bleeding. He lost about 2 pints. I wish they'd just leave him the hell alone and quit poking and prodding him....he can't be fixed. I just don't want him to suffer.

I don't think you smoked a cig the entire time we were at the carshow.....I quit over 6 years ago, just put the pack I had in the garbage and that was it.......
